Fabricio Delfino came out of the goal and Eriberto Eleder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute, one of Sucre AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sucre AFC. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for La Ilusha. Benito Onbera stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fabricio Delfino. 1-0. A hard shot 18 in the game by Jonathan Corderro from a close distance when the talented Fabricio Delfino managed to make a qualified save. Sucre AFC's players were relieved. Marcos Navarro might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lázaro Lohitzun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benicio Tipi during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, Benito Onbera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Ilusha's Lázaro Lohitzun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save La Ilusha from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The La Ilusha fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sucre AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
