After a rather tough play, River fc's Elvio Gonzo got a free kick in the 15th minute. Siro Ofelio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Siro Ofelio struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Teofilo Cristofol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sucre AFC. 1-0 became the score in the 32nd minute when Ricardo Felo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Navarro in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teofilo Cristofol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Marcos Navarro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teofilo Cristofol was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Martin Nofre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabricio Delfino having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Martin Nofre's late challenge caught a Sucre AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Nofre helped the player get up and apologised. Martin Nofre hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Siro Ofelio came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Teofilo Cristofol could save by the left post. Siro Ofelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Cristofol having to interfere. A hard shot 59 in the game by Siro Ofelio from a close distance when the talented Teofilo Cristofol managed to make a qualified save. River fc's players were relieved. In the 59thth minute of the game Siro Ofelio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River fc's Teofilo Cristofol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Martin Nofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabricio Delfino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Nofre, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Martin Nofre succeeded in the game's 71st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Martin Nofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to River fc getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Elvio Gonzo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in River fc's zone, Siro Ofelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Cristofol came out of the goal and Siro Ofelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcos Navarro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teofilo Cristofol. That made the score 2-1 in the 84 minute of play. Marcos Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, River fc's Teofilo Cristofol got control of the ball when Siro Ofelio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teofilo Cristofol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Navarro in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th match minute, River fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Nofre to maneuver through the defense.
