Itatí AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 12th minute, Gerardo Evarado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Teo Iigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peña FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 25th match minute, Peña FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clodoveo Natal to maneuver through the defense. Denis Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Nardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Itatí AFC defense, Teo Iigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Francesco. The Itatí AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Francesco should have stopped the shot. Gerardo Evarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Itatí AFC's zone, Teo Iigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Francesco came out of the goal and Teo Iigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Nardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Itatí AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peña FC were winning 0-3.

53 minutes into the match, Marcos Raymundo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Denis Ramos. Peña FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Raymundo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. After having played for 57 minutes, Marcos Raymundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itatí AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Raymundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Francesco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teo Iigo in the 59th minute of the match. When Marcos Raymundo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Itatí AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Raymundo couldn't finish the play. When Gervasio Criston fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peña FC's protests and gave Gervasio Criston a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Itatí AFC booed when Peña FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Criston didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Itatí AFC's Federico Estavan tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Gerardo Evarado let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 71st minute shot 1-4 at rihgt post. Cecilio Frederik charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Frederik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 76th minute, Cecilio Frederik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute of the game, Benito Nardo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Edelmiro Cresenciano charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edelmiro Cresenciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, one of Peña FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peña FC. 82 minutes into the match, Peña FC's Gerardo Evarado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Francesco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Teo Iigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teo Iigo came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Peña FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teo Iigo couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peña FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
