The audience was convinced that Mariano Oskitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Francesco was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After 29 minutes, Robustiano Colon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itatí AFC and the Lolog players grew even worse after the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Itatí AFC's Joel Francesco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Oskitz in the 81st minute of play. In the 91st minute, Victor Cordearo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lolog had played much better football throughout.
