Eustaquio Calixto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Txomin in the 6th minute of play. Clemente Ihazintu struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Maximino Rey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpic Gym. Eustaquio Calixto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Bazil in the 14th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Everardo Sidoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Facha Futbol Club's Jaime Bazil got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Clemente Ihazintu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Facha Futbol Club's Maximino Rey. Maximino Rey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Clemente Ihazintu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Rey having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Ihazintu got free with Maximino Rey in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Jaime Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustaquio Calixto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Elias Elequemedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpic Gym's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Elequemedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Rey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 40 played minutes Olimpic Gym got a freekick which was hit by Luis Deunoro. Eustaquio Calixto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Txomin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eustaquio Calixto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celedonio Txomin's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 60th minute Edgardo Indartsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Rey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Bazil in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eustaquio Calixto saved Olimpic Gym from getting behind. The Facha Futbol Club fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Facha Futbol Club's Jaime Bazil looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Edgardo Indartsu came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Olimpic Gym fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgardo Indartsu couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, one of Olimpic Gym:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Olimpic Gym. When the match had been going on for 74 minutes, Facha Futbol Club's Emilio Mancio got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eustaquio Calixto. The supporters of Facha Futbol Club booed when Olimpic Gym was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everardo Sidoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celedonio Txomin got free with Eustaquio Calixto in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olimpic Gym's Edgardo Indartsu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th match minute, Olimpic Gym was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Norino to maneuver through the defense. Facha Futbol Club's Maximino Rey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Indartsu in the 98th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
