After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Antonio Maldonado managed to get in a good position for a shot. LIKE A STONE's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Maldonado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Celio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernan Senio struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Prudencio Celio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LIKE A STONE. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LIKE A STONE. LIKE A STONE's Conrado Che played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Iratxo in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomiro Iratxo to make the kick off. Prudencio Celio made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Antonio Maldonado sent off a good shot on target. When Martin Astudillo fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lanus United AC's protests and gave Martin Astudillo a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in LIKE A STONE's zone, Baldomiro Iratxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Che came out of the goal and Baldomiro Iratxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prudencio Celio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Chucho in the 97th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
