After 27 minutes, Gualterio Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bogardo AFC and the Asantar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes Bogardo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Cruz. 37 minutes into the match, Bogardo AFC's goalkeeper Baltasar Bernaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siro Gartzea. In the 43rd minute, Silvano Ponciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 45 minutes, Eusebio Pierres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Asantar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Pierres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Egun to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Bogardo AFC booed when Asantar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Diegotxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Gartzea in the 59th minute of play forced Bogardo AFC's goalkeeper Baltasar Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristides Nastasio in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltasar Bernaldo saved Bogardo AFC from getting behind. Asantar FC's Roberto Fero got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aristides Nastasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Bogardo AFC defense, Aristides Nastasio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baltasar Bernaldo. The Bogardo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baltasar Bernaldo should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Siro Gartzea sped through Bogardo AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Baltasar Bernaldo. In the 88thth minute of the game Siro Gartzea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bogardo AFC's Baltasar Bernaldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baltasar Bernaldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aristides Nastasio's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. If Aristides Nastasio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asantar FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
