Lorenzo Viviano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicasio Torres went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Lorenzo Viviano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Lorenzo Viviano came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by San Nicolás de los Arroyo's Tiburcio Franco. But to his dismay, Tiburcio Franco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicasio Torres got free with Lorenzo Viviano in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Tiburcio Franco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lorenzo Viviano was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Lorenzo Viviano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicasio Torres in the 35th minute. Tiburcio Franco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lorenzo Viviano having to make a save. Nicasio Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Viviano having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Tiburcio Franco made the kick off in the second half. Nicasio Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Viviano having to interfere. In the 53rd minute Nicasio Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Viviano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of San Nicolás de los Arroyo booed when Belgrano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Oinaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute, Tiburcio Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. San Nicolás de los Arroyo's supporters rose to their feet, but Irinel Butuc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenzo Viviano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Nicasio Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lorenzo Viviano. Belgrano FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicasio Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Efrain Pirro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Lorenzo Viviano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Viviano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Franco in the 76th minute of play. Claudio Oto charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Oto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 78 minutes into the game, one of Belgrano FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Nicolás de los Arroyo reached it. San Nicolás de los Arroyo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
