Pablo Osasun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the game, Oscar Santio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arauco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgrano FC the free kick. In the 8th minute, Oscar Santio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Arauco FC's Oscar Santio got a free kick in the 12th minute. Arauco FC's Paulino Petri got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulino Petri charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulino Petri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Arauco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Petri to maneuver through the defense. Jeremias Ipar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Domenec read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Paulino Petri struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Lorenzo Viviano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arauco FC. Paulino Petri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lorenzo Viviano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Pablo Osasun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Domenec having to interfere. Mauro Domenec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Osasun in the 56th minute of play. Arauco FC's Mauro Domenec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Osasun in the 59th minute of play. When Paulino Petri came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Arauco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Petri couldn't finish the play. Paulino Petri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lorenzo Viviano having to make a save. Arauco FC's Mauro Domenec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Osasun in the 65th minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, Belgrano FC's Jeremias Ipar made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Domenec was left in no man's land by his defense there! Honorio Ihazintu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Belgrano FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
