After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Roca's zone, Julio Sergi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Sauveur came out of the goal and Julio Sergi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaudencio Cuartio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Flavio Sauveur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Gaudencio Cuartio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Roca's Flavio Sauveur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Americo Conrao charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Americo Conrao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Americo Conrao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Sergi scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Sauveur, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 53 played minutes Norumbega got a freekick which was hit by Americo Conrao. Gaudencio Cuartio in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flavio Sauveur, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gaudencio Cuartio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaudencio Cuartio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Sauveur having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Roca's Florencio Nazario got a free kick in the 59th minute. Flavio Sauveur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julio Sergi's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Joaquin Calixto's late challenge caught a Norumbega's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquin Calixto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Norumbega booed when Deportivo Roca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Calixto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavio Sauveur made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Gaudencio Cuartio sent off a good shot on target. 90 minutes into the match, Gaudencio Cuartio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Sauveur. Deportivo Roca's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gaudencio Cuartio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Julio Sergi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Sauveur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Norumbega's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
