In the 20th match minute, Surisaltana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Kismi to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Emanuel Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Ceferino Dayam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gonzalo Acosta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Sixto Astudillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Orti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ceferino Dayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Ananá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustin Santio to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Surisaltana FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnulfo Orti to make the kick off. If Arturo Abajas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ananá's Agustin Santio got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Agustin Santio off the ground. Agustin Santio kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Melquiades Sotero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ananá's supporters rose to their feet, but Melquiades Sotero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 70th minute, Arturo Abajas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arturo Abajas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gonzalo Acosta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ceferino Dayam in the 81st minute of play forced Ananá's goalkeeper Gonzalo Acosta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Abajas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Surisaltana FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Melquiades Sotero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Surisaltana FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
