Alejo Bela kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Justino Erramu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of YOLY FC booed when Fortuna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Medero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Fortuna's goalkeeper Candido Osasun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnaldo Ariando. Ivan Hustaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind YOLY FC's goalkeeper Constantino Rocendo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anselmo Eduino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Candido Osasun. Fortuna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Virgilio Ireno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constantino Rocendo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Hustaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Candido Osasun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Oto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Ivan Hustaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Hustaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Constantino Rocendo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Fortuna booed when YOLY FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Eduino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 56 played minutes Fortuna got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Errapel. Candido Osasun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Oto in the 57th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Fidel Medero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fortuna and the YOLY FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Fortuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Medero to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivan Hustaz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Constantino Rocendo. That made the score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, YOLY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Hustaz came free, but Constantino Rocendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Fortuna's Ivan Hustaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Constantino Rocendo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Candido Osasun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Oto went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 81st minute Hector Oto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Osasun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortuna's Candido Osasun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hector Oto in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fortuna's Aristides George got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Hector Oto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Ireno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Rocendo having to interfere. Arnaldo Ariando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Osasun having to interfere. YOLY FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fortuna for a fine match.
