Silverio Felipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Osasun having to interfere. Fidel Medero charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fidel Medero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fidel Medero hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. If Alvaro Quintun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Arnulfo Bixintxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. sportivo R 23's Amancio Udalaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Hustaz in the 20th minute of play. If Alvaro Quintun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astor Laurin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Silverio Felipo scored 0-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Candido Osasun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Virgilio Ireno struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Amancio Udalaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortuna. Alvaro Quintun might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Candido Osasun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Quintun ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Hustaz made a kick off. When Cosme Birila came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the sportivo R 23 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cosme Birila couldn't finish the play. After 65 played minutes Fortuna got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Ireno. In the 66th minute, Alvaro Quintun reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Candido Osasun. The goal made the score 0-2. Astor Laurin kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Candido Osasun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alvaro Quintun's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Amancio Udalaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Hustaz in the 87th minute of play. Ivan Hustaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Udalaitz having to interfere. When Fidel Medero was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 94 minutes had been played. A collision led to Fortuna getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fidel Medero hit a great ball. The sportivo R 23 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
