The referee showed Cristo Richie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arturo Lopes hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Amadeo Loramendi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Alta Cordoba FC's Eliseo Johans got a free kick in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Txindoki got free with Eustaquio Emenon in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Generoso Orain kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Generoso Orain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Alta Cordoba FC's zone, Eulalio Berbiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustaquio Emenon came out of the goal and Eulalio Berbiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Laureano Txindoki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eulalio Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustaquio Emenon having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Borussia got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Berbiz. Guaberto Ihintza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bonifacio Tauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 33rd minute, Bonifacio Tauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristo Richie was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cristo Richie kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Bonifacio Tauro might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guaberto Ihintza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bonifacio Tauro ran back to his position shaking his head. Eulalio Berbiz got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Eulalio Berbiz hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Txindoki to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Lorenzo Bemabe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alta Cordoba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lorenzo Bemabe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lorenzo Bemabe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bonifacio Tauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodoro Caton struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Guaberto Ihintza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alta Cordoba FC. If Bonifacio Tauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bonifacio Tauro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Ihintza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Teodoro Caton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guaberto Ihintza made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Bonifacio Tauro sent off a good shot on target. Alta Cordoba FC's Bonifacio Tauro got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bonifacio Tauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bonifacio Tauro had several of the Borussia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 84 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Guaberto Ihintza as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 89th minute, Bonifacio Tauro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Guaberto Ihintza. The goal made the score 0-2. Bonifacio Tauro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Guaberto Ihintza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Teodoro Caton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alta Cordoba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Caton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Ihintza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Borussia's goalkeeper Guaberto Ihintza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Borussia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alta Cordoba FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
