After 36 minutes, Gaston Llorian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caravantes FC and the Los Cacos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Caravantes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Llorian to maneuver through the defense. When Melquiades Gar fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Cacos's protests and gave Melquiades Gar a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Los Cacos getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Melquiades Gar hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Aldo Salbatore shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aureliano Cordaro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lisandro Etxepare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Aureliano Cordaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melquiades Mel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Caravantes FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delmiro Seme to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Los Cacos's Delmiro Seme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Moises Cucao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 57 minutes into the match, Los Cacos's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Mel came free, but Aureliano Cordaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aureliano Cordaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Mel in the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Melquiades Mel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aureliano Cordaro. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Cacos! Los Cacos's Aureliano Cordaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Mel in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Los Cacos's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Mel came free, but Aureliano Cordaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Caravantes FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
