After a defensive mix-up in Jarillito's zone, Gonzalo Basajaun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislao Ezkerra came out of the goal and Gonzalo Basajaun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Gonzalo Basajaun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jarillito's goalkeeper Ladislao Ezkerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pablo Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ladislao Ezkerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ladislao Ezkerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Basajaun in the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Jarillito getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Uriel Enaut hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Basajaun in the 23rd minute of play forced Jarillito's goalkeeper Ladislao Ezkerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Gonzalo Basajaun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Epuyén AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzalo Basajaun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nereo Quilino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Gonzalo Olentzaro made a huge save. Jarillito's Ladislao Ezkerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Basajaun in the 36th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Pablo Maju left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Epuyén AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julio Lertxun to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Nereo Quilino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarillito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nereo Quilino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzalo Basajaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ladislao Ezkerra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gonzalo Basajaun showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 65 minute of play. Pablo Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ladislao Ezkerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gonzalo Olentzaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Quilino, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Pablo Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pablo Maju received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Ladislao Ezkerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Jarillito's goalkeeper Ladislao Ezkerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo Maju. Epuyén AFC's Gonzalo Basajaun got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Basajaun might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ladislao Ezkerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonzalo Basajaun ran back to his position shaking his head. Ladislao Ezkerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Maju in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute Pablo Maju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Ezkerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A long shot from Flavio Costante in the 91st minute of play was well struck, but Ladislao Ezkerra made a really good save at the right post. 92 minutes into the match, Nereo Quilino notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Epuyén AFC's Gonzalo Olentzaro. Gonzalo Olentzaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gonzalo Basajaun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Ezkerra having to interfere. Epuyén AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
