The tension between the Tío Sam and the San Telmo Market players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tío Sam's Joel Igon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Vermudo in the 42nd minute of play. Joel Igon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Vasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Tobias Felipillo was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If Amadeo Saturnin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudio Vedillo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tío Sam's zone, Hector Vasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Igon came out of the goal and Hector Vasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Telmo Market were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
