Pablo Maju struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Abelardo Montel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Epuyén AFC. Abelardo Montel came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Epuyén AFC's Gonzalo Basajaun. But to his dismay, Gonzalo Basajaun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruperto Escobar got free with Gonzalo Olentzaro in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Baldomero Baladi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Montel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Basajaun in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Don Ramon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Aimar came free, but Abelardo Montel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gonzalo Basajaun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Montel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Basajaun in the 43rd minute of the match. Gonzalo Basajaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Don Ramon FC's zone, Pablo Maju stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Montel came out of the goal and Pablo Maju tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half Epuyén AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Basajaun was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Epuyén AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Pablo Maju hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Don Ramon FC's Anier Viviano got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes, Epuyén AFC's Albano Jerano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abelardo Montel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Epuyén AFC reached it. Pablo Maju who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Abelardo Montel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Abelardo Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Ruperto Escobar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Don Ramon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruperto Escobar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gonzalo Basajaun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Abelardo Montel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Epuyén AFC's Gonzalo Basajaun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Montel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gonzalo Basajaun took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Montel. Abelardo Montel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Raul Ferran charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raul Ferran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th match minute, Don Ramon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Ferran to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Don Ramon FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Albano Jerano was slow to take the kick. During this time Epuyén AFC's players had a chance to rest. When Epuyén AFC's Gonzalo Basajaun in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Don Ramon FC's goalie prevented a goal. Abelardo Montel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Maju in the 97th minute. When the match was over Epuyén AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Don Ramon FC throughout the match.
