The tension between the San Telmo Market and the Guayquiraro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guayquiraro FC booed when San Telmo Market was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateo Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alejandro Berart who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Mariano Jerardo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Vermudo in the 7th minute of play forced Guayquiraro FC's goalkeeper Jesus Sustrai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Claris blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mariano Jerardo having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Vasco in the 11th minute of play forced Guayquiraro FC's goalkeeper Jesus Sustrai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sixto Valentine hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Hector Vasco struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Jesus Sustrai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Telmo Market. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benigno Marz during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Benigno Marz hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Feliciano Enmanuel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The San Telmo Market fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sixto Valentine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Celedonio Vermudo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jesus Sustrai. Guayquiraro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Celedonio Vermudo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Hector Vasco charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hector Vasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alejandro Berart stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alejandro Berart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Mariano Jerardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alejandro Berart came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Guayquiraro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejandro Berart couldn't finish the play. Alejandro Berart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mariano Jerardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesus Sustrai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliciano Enmanuel in the 60th minute of play. After 61 minutes, Alejandro Berart made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. San Telmo Market's Mariano Jerardo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Guayquiraro FC's Jesus Sustrai got control of the ball when Feliciano Enmanuel tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Freddy Claris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute Sixto Valentine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Jerardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alejandro Berart might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Jerardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alejandro Berart ran back to his position shaking his head. 84 minutes into the match, Alejandro Berart notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of San Telmo Market's Mariano Jerardo. Mariano Jerardo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to San Telmo Market getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Hector Vasco hit a great ball. Guayquiraro FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
