CSD Boedo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernabe Salbatore was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After 11 played minutes Devoto got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Svensson. After having played for 14 minutes, Evelio Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSD Boedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Cruz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to CSD Boedo getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Elias Rexino hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Derya Yalazalp successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Derya Yalazalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Salbatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Rexino during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Devoto booed when CSD Boedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Rexino didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Devoto's Bernabe Salbatore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Derya Yalazalp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Derya Yalazalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Salbatore in the 55th minute of play. Epifanio Sugoi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 60th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Esteban Gutxi. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Bernabe Salbatore sped through CSD Boedo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Derya Yalazalp. 65 minutes into the game, Evelio Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSD Boedo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Devoto the free kick. Evelio Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes CSD Boedo got a freekick which was hit by Elias Rexino. Epifanio Sugoi made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Bonifacio Garci sent off a good shot on target. Torbjörn Svensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Bernabe Salbatore in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Abeitia during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes CSD Boedo got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Abeitia. In the 86th minute, Zygmunt Naujasodis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernabe Salbatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Derya Yalazalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Bernabe Salbatore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSD Boedo's Derya Yalazalp was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Derya Yalazalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Salbatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Devoto walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
