In the last second Enzo Inko throw himself and got hold of the ball when Bernabe Salbatore in the 15thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Epifanio Sugoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbano Ospetsu in the 16th minute of play. Christijan Henselmans hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 20 played minutes, Escriña AFC's Ovidio Oto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Epifanio Sugoi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Escriña AFC reached it. Torbjörn Svensson's late challenge caught a Escriña AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Torbjörn Svensson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Devoto's goalkeeper Epifanio Sugoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Escriña AFC got a freekick which was hit by Vinicio Barto. In the 25th minute, Torbjörn Svensson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Escriña AFC's Enzo Inko didn't even have to move. Epifanio Sugoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustavo Micael's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Devoto's zone, Urbano Ospetsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Sugoi came out of the goal and Urbano Ospetsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enzo Inko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Salbatore in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Escriña AFC booed when Devoto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabe Salbatore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devoto's Epifanio Sugoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Ospetsu in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Hegoi in the 40th minute of play forced Devoto's goalkeeper Epifanio Sugoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bernabe Salbatore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a rather tough play, Escriña AFC's Urbano Ospetsu got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Torbjörn Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Escriña AFC's zone, Torbjörn Svensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Inko came out of the goal and Torbjörn Svensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Carlos Hegoi came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Escriña AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Hegoi couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute Bernabe Salbatore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enzo Inko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Devoto's Kenan Kaçan got a free kick in the 95th minute. With a little luck, Devoto's Epifanio Sugoi got control of the ball when Carlos Hegoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chants of Escriña AFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Devoto had held the ball for most of the match.
