In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tumbaya's goalkeeper Antonio Ugaitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Geronimo Perez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Muñoz's supporters rose to their feet, but Geronimo Perez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Ugaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th match minute, Tumbaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Peter to maneuver through the defense. Natalio Isusko charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Natalio Isusko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Tumbaya got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Isusko. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geronimo Perez to strike the kick off in the second half. Geronimo Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Antonio Ugaitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Mauro Remir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vicente Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Uxio during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Muñoz's Luisito Joachim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Castel in the 89th minute of play. If Vicente Castel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vicente Castel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Luisito Joachim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 101 minutes into the match, Tumbaya's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Perez came free, but Antonio Ugaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geronimo Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 103rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Muñoz's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
