Filomeno Garaile did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Bernardino Cortez 7 minutes into the match. Hergaco FC.'s Bernardino Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Artaldo in the 14th minute of play. If Raimundo Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Hergaco FC.'s Bernardino Cortez got control of the ball when Raimundo Savion tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimundo Savion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Filomeno Garaile fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardino Cortez having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Feliberto Lesardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hergaco FC. and the Antilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hergaco FC. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Genaro Favila hit a great ball. Bernardino Cortez was a little too slow when Bernardo Artaldo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 2-0. Bernardino Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Savion in the 35th minute. Antilla's Bernardo Artaldo got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Hergaco FC.'s Feliberto Lesardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lorenzo Salvator narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Filomeno Garaile's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardino Cortez was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Bernardino Cortez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Artaldo in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filomeno Garaile stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Filomeno Garaile put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bernardino Cortez. If Raimundo Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filomeno Garaile in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardino Cortez saved Hergaco FC. from getting behind. If Bernardo Artaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Feliberto Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernardino Cortez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. There was no doubt that Antilla were the better team. Antilla's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
