Spectators: 7253 (Terracing: 5441, Seating: 1668, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Marcelino Tallia made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Soubext CF's Lázaro Stanislao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Jon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 7 minutes into the match, Soubext CF's goalkeeper Santo Salbatore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julio Rosario. After 8 played minutes Soubext CF got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Serapio. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Julio Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Rosario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santo Salbatore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Rosario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Salbatore having to interfere. Sebastian Tristan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santo Salbatore read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Santo Salbatore made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Julio Rosario sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 32 minutes, Marcelino Tallia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soubext CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Tallia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santo Salbatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Tristan in the 34th minute of the match. If Marcelino Tallia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Tristan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Salbatore having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

A collision led to Soubext CF getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Luisito Belmiro hit a great ball. In the 58th match minute, Soubext CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Serapio to maneuver through the defense. River Plate's Sebastian Tristan managed to work through Soubext CF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Sebastian Tristan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Julio Rosario took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santo Salbatore. Santo Salbatore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 68th match minute, Soubext CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelino Tallia to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, River Plate's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lázaro Stanislao fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Santo Salbatore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Rosario, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Tallia in the 85th minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Joaquin Jon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Tristan struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Santo Salbatore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. River Plate's Julio Rosario got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Sebastian Tristan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santo Salbatore was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Soubext CF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
