River Plate's Joaquin Jon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Montrell in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th minute, Sebastian Tristan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute, Christian Urtzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Christian Urtzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Montrell in the 52nd minute of play forced River Plate's goalkeeper Joaquin Jon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Rosario came free with the goalkeeper in the 56th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Abel Oskarbi could save by the left post. In the 74th minute, River Plate's Adan Firme dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Rosendo Montrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Gentza came free, but Joaquin Jon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Tristan struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Abel Oskarbi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Plate. Joaquin Jon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Urtzi in the 90th minute of the match. Isidoro Asteri charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoro Asteri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
