When Julio Rosario came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Rosario couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Nicasio Leizarraga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Jon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Nicasio Leizarraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 35 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Dominic came free, but Joaquin Jon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adan Firme hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Guaberto Dominic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metalmecanica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Dominic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Jon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicasio Leizarraga succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 42nd playminute. 46 minutes into the match, Metalmecanica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Rico came free, but Cristian Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Tristan was the one to do the kick off. Sebastian Tristan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, River Plate's Desiderio Abarca broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Benigno Illart hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ismael Illan hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Sebastian Tristan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Tristan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Saul Rico got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Saul Rico hit a great ball. Guaberto Dominic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Joaquin Jon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Joey was a little too slow when Julio Rosario got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 2-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Isidoro Asteri put in a rough tackle. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for River Plate! The referee gave Metalmecanica FC a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Silvano Pacorro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of River Plate's Joaquin Jon. 3-1. Adan Firme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Rosario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 97 minutes into the game, Denis Tulio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metalmecanica FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Metalmecanica FC had won after a very even match.
