Aristides Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Palban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Iriondo's Ernesto Cordarryl dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a little luck, Zapiola AFC's Leonel Iago got control of the ball when Florentino Eladio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Zapiola AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Goito to maneuver through the defense. Zapiola AFC's Leonel Iago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Zapiola AFC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Zapiola AFC's Diego Txilar got a free kick in the 17th minute. Zapiola AFC's Leonel Iago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Cheche in the 20th minute of play. Diego Txilar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Feliu having to interfere. Leonel Iago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Cordarryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Diego Txilar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Zapiola AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Lino Bartoleme hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the game, Iriondo's Filomeno Cheche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Iago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 46 minutes into the match, Florentino Eladio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Zapiola AFC's Leonel Iago. Leonel Iago was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filomeno Cheche was the one to do the kick off. Mateo Palban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mateo Palban kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 67 minutes, Diego Txilar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zapiola AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Txilar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Mateo Palban came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Zapiola AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Palban couldn't finish the play. Diego Txilar might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristides Feliu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Txilar ran back to his position shaking his head. 76 minutes into the game, Justo Frans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zapiola AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iriondo the free kick. In the 77th minute, Justo Frans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonel Iago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Eladio in the 80th minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Zapiola AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Goito. In the 91st minute, Diego Txilar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th match minute, Zapiola AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Gartzea to maneuver through the defense. Iriondo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
