Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Basilio Quexal made a kick off. Edgard Montxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alfonso Ponciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basilio Quexal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basilio Quexal struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Alfonso Ponciano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olaeta. When Edgard Montxo fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olaeta's protests and gave Edgard Montxo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Olaeta getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Edgard Montxo hit a great ball. With a little luck, Olaeta's Nicasio Rexino got control of the ball when Tomás Berart tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgard Montxo was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
