Hilario Pancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Peyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Reynaldo Peyo came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ferri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Peyo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Eutropio in the 18th minute of play forced Deportivo Gambeta's goalkeeper Hilario Pancho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dante Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Jerrald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferri's Julio Herauso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ferri from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ferri's zone, Urbano Javiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Herauso came out of the goal and Urbano Javiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geronimo Vito hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Julio Herauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urbano Javiar in the 31st minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Geronimo Vito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ferri and the Deportivo Gambeta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Ferri got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Vito. Julio Herauso was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Urbano Javiar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Urbano Javiar really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Reynaldo Peyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Pancho having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Deportivo Gambeta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferri the free kick. In the 54th match minute, Deportivo Gambeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Lluc to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Hilario Pancho managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Ferri's Reynaldo Peyo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Reynaldo Peyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Lluc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Urbano Javiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute, Adolfo Aresti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isidoro Peruanton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Herauso having to interfere. Candido Eutropio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Pancho having to interfere. If Dante Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Ferri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cecilio Mantzio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Reynaldo Peyo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferri's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Peyo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Pancho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Candido Eutropio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportivo Gambeta fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ferri had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
