The supporters of Espinillo booed when Deportivo Gambeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Iigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Espinillo's zone, Dante Jerrald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Obeko came out of the goal and Dante Jerrald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Obeko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danilo Lluc's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. When Clodoveo Baldovino fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espinillo's protests and gave Clodoveo Baldovino a yellow card for diving instead. Clodoveo Baldovino kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Urbano Javiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Obeko having to interfere. When Dante Jerrald came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Deportivo Gambeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Jerrald couldn't finish the play. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Deportivo Gambeta! In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Espinillo. Aquiles Txordon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hilario Pancho. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Eugenio Argider's late challenge caught a Deportivo Gambeta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Argider helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 55 minutes, Dante Jerrald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Gambeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Jerrald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Espinillo's goal looked a bit too open when Urbano Javiar came free, but Marco Obeko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Espinillo's Marco Obeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urbano Javiar in the 76th minute of play. Aquiles Nataniel hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Espinillo's Marco Obeko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Espinillo from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Urbano Javiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Obeko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uriel Tanio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Espinillo's goalkeeper Marco Obeko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dante Jerrald. Marco Obeko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dante Jerrald in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Urbano Javiar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Obeko. The goal made the score 1-1.
