With a little luck, ORION's Edelmiro Laffitte got control of the ball when Ciriaco Piarres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciriaco Piarres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciriaco Piarres struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Edelmiro Laffitte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bajestine. After a defensive mix-up in ORION's zone, Augusto Palban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Laffitte came out of the goal and Augusto Palban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Palban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Laffitte having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Anibal Elorri managed to get in a good position for a shot. ORION's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Elorri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonel Quico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Bajestine's zone, Jeronimo Rainerio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Quico came out of the goal and Jeronimo Rainerio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonel Quico showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Elorri in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, ORION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Cresenciano to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bajestine booed when ORION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Ciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Augusto Palban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 48 played minutes Bajestine got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Palban. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Augusto Palban made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Ciriaco Piarres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. ORION's Edelmiro Laffitte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Piarres in the 53rd minute of play. Ciriaco Piarres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bajestine's Leonel Quico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Bajestine from getting a goal against them. Arsenio Baumar hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, ORION's Jeronimo Rainerio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonel Quico narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, ORION's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Palban came free, but Edelmiro Laffitte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeronimo Rainerio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Leonel Quico came out and tried to block the shot, but Jeronimo Rainerio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 66th minute. The ORION fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Laffitte should have stopped the shot. ORION's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
