Alejandro Gitano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Santo Iruinea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Santo Iruinea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionisio Cloyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malvinas FC's goalkeeper Dionisio Cloyo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Ulises Rosario was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malvinas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chapu FC the free kick. In the 25th minute, Ulises Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernardino Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alejandro Gitano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Rosario in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Santo Iruinea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dionisio Cloyo. Malvinas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Iruinea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Dionisio Cloyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Iruinea in the 43rd minute of play. Eulalio Loren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Cloyo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvestre Orlan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Silvestre Orlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Alejandro Gitano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Ponc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filomeno Tiadoro scored 2-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dionisio Cloyo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 65 minutes into the match, Bernardino Bide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alejandro Gitano. Chapu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardino Bide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. 69 minutes into the game, Malvinas FC's Silvestre Orlan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejandro Gitano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. Malvinas FC's Dionisio Cloyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filomeno Tiadoro in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Filomeno Tiadoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Cloyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes in the game, Filomeno Tiadoro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dionisio Cloyo having to interfere. Chapu FC's Santo Iruinea got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Filomeno Tiadoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chapu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filomeno Tiadoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dionisio Cloyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elvio Inguma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Malvinas FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Chapu FC for much of the match.
