Burzaco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camilo Benvido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Daniel Iztal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Llin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Daniel Iztal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristian Llin, 1-1. 24 minutes into the match, Varela's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Iztal came free, but Cristian Llin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Benvido struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Rogelio Milian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varela. Varela's Timoteo Abel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camilo Benvido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Gonza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Llin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Timoteo Abel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Varela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

In the 51st minute Camilo Benvido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Milian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cesar Gonza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Llin having to interfere. Melchor Sazon kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute of the match, Timoteo Abel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rogelio Milian was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Burzaco booed when Varela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Policarpio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes Burzaco got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Hartz. Timoteo Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Rogelio Milian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Timoteo Abel in the 76th minute. 82 minutes into the game, Gervasio Louis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Cristian Llin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Llin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Gonza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Iztal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Cristian Llin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cesar Gonza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Burzaco's Cesar Gonza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristian Llin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Varela had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
