Cornelio Hondo was a little too slow when Cecilio Fraco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-1. Casimiro Telesforo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herminio Onofre's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Reconquista AFC's Casimiro Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herminio Onofre in the 25th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgilio Ostadar in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casimiro Telesforo saved Reconquista AFC from getting behind. In the 28th match minute, Reconquista AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Frichoso to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Herminio Onofre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Herminio Onofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Herminio Onofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to river plate FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Nemesio Santo hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Reconquista AFC's Cecilio Fraco got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Reconquista AFC's zone, Herminio Onofre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casimiro Telesforo came out of the goal and Herminio Onofre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casimiro Telesforo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Ostadar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Caetano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Cornelio Hondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, river plate FC's Virgilio Ostadar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casimiro Telesforo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Cecilio Fraco came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Reconquista AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Fraco couldn't finish the play. A collision led to river plate FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Eustaquio Naldo hit a great ball. If Virgilio Ostadar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. Casimiro Telesforo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for river plate FC. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
