Benigno Tiniebra might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeo Piearres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benigno Tiniebra ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genaro Florian during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ciudadela AFC booed when Cuchara Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Florian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benigno Tiniebra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Piearres having to make a save. In the 8th minute Basilio Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Piearres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Florian was shown his second yellow card after 9 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Genaro Florian kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Angelo Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Quirce, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Benigno Tiniebra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Amadeo Piearres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 minutes, Celedonio Neron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuchara Fc and the Ciudadela AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Celedonio Neron kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Cuchara Fc's Amadeo Piearres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Cuchara Fc from getting a goal against them. Nicolas Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Cuchara Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Gerazan came free, but Amadeo Piearres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Cuchara Fc's Nicolas Blanco made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Honesto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 36 minutes, Nicolas Blanco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuchara Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Blanco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nicolas Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Blanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Cuchara Fc were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciudadela AFC's goalkeeper Ruperto Honesto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelo Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Honesto having to interfere. If Nicolas Blanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeo Piearres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Gerazan in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Angelo Fernandes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruperto Honesto. Angelo Fernandes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. With a little luck, Ciudadela AFC's Ruperto Honesto got control of the ball when Nicolas Blanco tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ciudadela AFC's Benigno Tiniebra in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cuchara Fc's goalie prevented a goal. Basilio Gerazan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeo Piearres having to make a save. If Basilio Gerazan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Basilio Gerazan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cuchara Fc eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
