Rodrigo Amor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Abelardo Cutberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogelio Pitin's late challenge caught a Chaviyú's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rogelio Pitin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th minute, Arnaldo Su made a precise shot to the right of Abelardo Cutberto. Chaviyú's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 24th match minute, Diablo callejero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Segundo Bras to maneuver through the defense. Chaviyú's Abelardo Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Amor in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Diablo callejero's goalkeeper Leonardo Balendin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evaristo Diaz, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rodrigo Amor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Cutberto having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Chaviyú's Carlos Cordarrel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Cordarrel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abelardo Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Amor in the 53rd minute of play. With his leg Leonardo Balendin managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when Chaviyú's Elpidio Fero fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Su in the 58th minute of play forced Chaviyú's goalkeeper Abelardo Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Rodrigo Amor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diablo callejero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Amor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abelardo Cutberto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Su, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Mariano Blanco charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mariano Blanco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Diablo callejero booed when Chaviyú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Blanco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Segundo Bras in the 65th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Abelardo Cutberto's left hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Arnaldo Su managed to get in a good position for a shot. Diablo callejero's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaldo Su was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Cutberto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute Rodrigo Amor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Chaviyú's Carlos Cordarrel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonardo Balendin. Leonardo Balendin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Cosme Nastasio hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Carlos Cordarrel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Leonardo Balendin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogelio Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Carlos Cordarrel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Chaviyú players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
