If Rene Loiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Albino Marko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Korneta Suarez's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pico FC the free kick. Ciro Javiero, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Francisco Libertad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Salomon having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Gregorio Henrico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Pico FC's Rene Loiola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Ixaka made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Uriel Gaxan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Libertad came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julian Salomon could save by the left post. When Jesus Flor came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Pico FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Flor couldn't finish the play. Francisco Libertad struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. If Rene Loiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Alfredo Ourente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Korneta Suarez's goalkeeper Bruno Ixaka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Korneta Suarez's Cristobal Benet got a free kick in the 68th minute. Rene Loiola struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Bruno Ixaka didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pico FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Ciro Javiero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pico FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Javiero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Ixaka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pico FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
