The supporters of Chaviyú booed when Pico FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Evis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Pico FC's Rene Loiola sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Abelardo Cutberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Abelardo Cutberto made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Jesus Flor sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Pico FC booed when Chaviyú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimeno Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. A long shot from Ciro Javiero in the 23rd minute of play was well struck, but Abelardo Cutberto made a really good save at the right post. Victorino Evis ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Pico FC's Rene Loiola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abelardo Cutberto. That made the score 4-0 after 38 minutes of play. In the 42nd minute Victorino Evis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Cutberto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alfredo Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Uriel Gaxan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Cutberto having to interfere. When Ciro Javiero came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Pico FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciro Javiero couldn't finish the play. Uriel Gaxan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Abelardo Cutberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Victorino Evis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chaviyú's Abelardo Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Evis in the 53rd minute of play. Mariano Blanco's late challenge caught a Pico FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Blanco helped the player get up and apologised. Pico FC made a substitution. Gregorio Henrico replaced Victorino Evis. In the 62nd minute, Mariano Blanco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesus Flor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Elpidio Fero kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Chaviyú's zone, Rene Loiola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Cutberto came out of the goal and Rene Loiola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the match, Chaviyú's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorio Henrico came free, but Abelardo Cutberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Henrico in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Flor in the 85th minute of play forced Chaviyú's goalkeeper Abelardo Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Flor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Cutberto having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Uriel Gaxan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
