After having played for 16 minutes, Aldo Eguzki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triple 8 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Eguzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romulo Lia in the 20th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Bide during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 22 played minutes Pelayo got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Bide. Tomás Quintana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Lia, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes, Romulo Lia made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Pelayo's Tomás Quintana tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Romulo Lia put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Tomás Quintana. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Lia in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomás Quintana saved Pelayo from getting behind. After some careless play in the Triple 8 FC defense, Gervasio Romildo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Jerardo. The Triple 8 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Jerardo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Cordarell in the 41st minute of play forced Pelayo's goalkeeper Tomás Quintana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pelayo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aldo Eguzki was slow to take the kick. During this time Triple 8 FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Triple 8 FC's Aldo Eguzki to fire away a dangerous shot which Tomás Quintana despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tomás Quintana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Lia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Romulo Lia made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Triple 8 FC defense, Gervasio Romildo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Jerardo.
