The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Romulo Lia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Socorro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eliseo Sein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Socorro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Santas Las Brasas FC's zone, Romulo Lia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hernan Socorro came out of the goal and Romulo Lia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atilano Galeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Hernan Socorro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Lia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 played minutes Santas Las Brasas FC got a freekick which was hit by Julio Eladio. Hernan Socorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Lia, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Triple 8 FC's Romulo Lia in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 38th minute Romulo Lia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Socorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ismael Quilo fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santas Las Brasas FC's protests and gave Ismael Quilo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Santas Las Brasas FC's Ismael Quilo got a free kick in the 44th minute. Romulo Lia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hernan Socorro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Angelo Cordarell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Triple 8 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Angelo Cordarell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Socorro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romulo Lia to make the kick off. Romulo Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Romulo Lia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Jerardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Eladio in the 58th minute of the match. If Jonas Urki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Romulo Lia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Eladio got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. With his leg Hernan Socorro managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Triple 8 FC's Romulo Lia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Romulo Lia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Reynaldo Ekhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aldo Eguzki, 84 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Hernan Socorro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Urki in the 86th minute. When Romulo Lia fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Triple 8 FC's protests and gave Romulo Lia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Romulo Lia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernan Socorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atilano Galeno in the 91st minute of play. When Romulo Lia came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Triple 8 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romulo Lia couldn't finish the play. The Santas Las Brasas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Triple 8 FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
