Elpidio Caton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Pablo Javiero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elpidio Caton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Javiero having to interfere. Pablo Javiero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Luke, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Silverio Abadie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casimiro Chucho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 34thth minute of the game Carlos Luke who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fernet Branca FC's Pablo Javiero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fernet Branca FC's zone, Elpidio Caton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Javiero came out of the goal and Elpidio Caton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Luke struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Pablo Javiero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bicho a MUERTE. With a little luck, Fernet Branca FC's Pablo Javiero got control of the ball when Elpidio Caton tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Fernet Branca FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silverio Abadie to strike the kick off in the second half. Pablo Javiero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Luke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pablo Javiero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Fernet Branca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Caton came free, but Pablo Javiero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Luke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Elpidio Caton made a precise shot to the right of Pablo Javiero. Fernet Branca FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Pablo Javiero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Caton in the 91st minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Fernet Branca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Caton came free, but Pablo Javiero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
