Spectators: 6656 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fulgencio Casomiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Prudencio Bakar struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Zeledon Jokin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Icaño. The supporters of lanf FC booed when Icaño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Telo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Eugenio Checa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Icaño's zone, Eugenio Checa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Vachon came out of the goal and Eugenio Checa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute Serafino Loreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Vachon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Carolo Milian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 25 minutes, Fulgencio Casomiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Icaño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Casomiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Virgilio Vachon was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Serafino Loreto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Serafino Loreto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Zeledon Jokin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Casomiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugenio Checa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Virgilio Vachon made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Icaño's Ladislao Matthew got a free kick in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafino Loreto made a kick off. Prudencio Bakar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Zeledon Jokin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Casomiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zeledon Jokin, 1-1. 58 minutes into the game, Ivan Liberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. lanf FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icaño the free kick. lanf FC's Zeledon Jokin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Casomiro in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Icaño's Fulgencio Casomiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeledon Jokin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, lanf FC's Serafino Loreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virgilio Vachon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Virgilio Vachon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Serafino Loreto went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Joel Abecia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eugenio Checa might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Vachon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugenio Checa ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Loreto in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Vachon prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
