After a rather tough play, Nimbus 2000's Ubaldo Oriol got a free kick in the 3rd minute. When Genaro Oihenarte fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Las Sierras Locas's protests and gave Genaro Oihenarte a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Las Sierras Locas getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Genaro Oihenarte hit a great ball. After having played for 7 minutes, Jacinto Erramun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nimbus 2000's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Erramun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Eulalio Kauldi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Osvaldo Lehen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Kauldi in the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nimbus 2000's zone, Genaro Oihenarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Lehen came out of the goal and Genaro Oihenarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eulalio Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 21 minutes, Jacinto Erramun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nimbus 2000's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Erramun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Geronimo Soin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Lehen. Nimbus 2000's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geronimo Soin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 31 minutes in the game, Eulalio Kauldi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Osvaldo Lehen having to interfere. Las Sierras Locas's Jairo Jerold played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by German Astudillo in the 33rd minute of play. Eulalio Kauldi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 41st minute, Nimbus 2000's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rolando Baraquiel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jairo Jerold came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Nimbus 2000's German Astudillo. But to his dismay, German Astudillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Casimiro Ekhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Lehen having to interfere. Osvaldo Lehen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Kauldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eulalio Kauldi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Nimbus 2000's zone, Eulalio Kauldi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Lehen came out of the goal and Eulalio Kauldi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th match minute, Nimbus 2000 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Erramun to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Lehen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eulalio Kauldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. The supporters of Las Sierras Locas booed when Nimbus 2000 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Silban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Kauldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Lehen having to interfere. Osvaldo Lehen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Baraquiel in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Nimbus 2000's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Kauldi came free, but Osvaldo Lehen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Americo Terciero charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Americo Terciero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 67 minutes into the match, Eulalio Kauldi notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Nimbus 2000's Osvaldo Lehen. Osvaldo Lehen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osvaldo Lehen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Kauldi in the 71st minute of play. Geronimo Soin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Lehen having to interfere. After 75 minutes of play, Las Sierras Locas's Rolando Baraquiel made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Lehen was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Eulalio Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eulalio Kauldi came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Las Sierras Locas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Kauldi couldn't finish the play. Eulalio Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Nimbus 2000's Albino Silban got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 94th minute, Geronimo Soin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Lehen was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1.
