The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Benigno Indalecio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Indalecio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldo Lehen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Senio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Nimbus 2000 getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Americo Terciero hit a great ball. If Benigno Indalecio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiro Senio scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldo Lehen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emiliano Dubardo charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Dubardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Palermo FC got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Dubardo. Vladimiro Senio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Osvaldo Lehen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benigno Indalecio might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Lehen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benigno Indalecio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 40th minute, Vladimiro Senio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nimbus 2000's Osvaldo Lehen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benigno Indalecio in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, one of Palermo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Nimbus 2000 a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benito Luar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Palermo FC's Lisandro Piearres. 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The wind increased when German Astudillo made the kick off in the second half. Lisandro Piearres came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Nimbus 2000's German Astudillo. But to his dismay, German Astudillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Benigno Indalecio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Osvaldo Lehen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Erramun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 66 minutes, German Astudillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nimbus 2000's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Astudillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that German Astudillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lisandro Piearres was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Nimbus 2000's Jacinto Erramun got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 73 minutes, German Astudillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nimbus 2000's supporters crossed their fingers, but German Astudillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 minutes, Dario Udalaitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palermo FC and the Nimbus 2000 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dario Udalaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Erramun in the 85th minute of play forced Palermo FC's goalkeeper Lisandro Piearres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nimbus 2000's Jacinto Erramun got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Jacinto Erramun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92ndth minute of the game German Astudillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palermo FC's Lisandro Piearres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lucas Calvino hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nimbus 2000 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Palermo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
