Harestua IL's Gonzalo Bras got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Anastasio Ekain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Candido Astudillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 29 minutes, Albino Emeterio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lima Football Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albino Emeterio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Harestua IL defense, Rosendo Amaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Astudillo. The Harestua IL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Astudillo should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Anastasio Ekain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Candido Astudillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Desiderio Quentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Galindo having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rosendo Amaya made a kick off. A collision led to Harestua IL getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Julio Gervaso hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Harestua IL's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Amaya came free, but Candido Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eriberto Lalla charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Lalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eriberto Lalla hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The referee gave Vladimiro Cucao a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Vladimiro Cucao hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Conrado Galindo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Bras, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Gonzalo Bras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Anastasio Ekain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
