The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Dominix during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tu Vieja getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ezequiel Dominix hit a great ball. If Matias Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Tu Vieja's Fulgencio Burutzagi got a free kick in the 14th minute. Wilfredo Ilixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Francisco Quinito shot a long shot in the 19th minute and a light blocked Camilo Mikelar hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-1. If Matias Sustrai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Tu Vieja defense, Tiburcio Hulberto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Estevon. The Tu Vieja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Estevon should have stopped the shot. Tiburcio Hulberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Matias Sustrai might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gavino Estevon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matias Sustrai ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Wilfredo Ilixo could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Camilo Mikelar however easily saved by the left post. Melquiades Pirro kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ezequiel Dominix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tu Vieja's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Dominix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Mikelar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Dominix cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Camilo Mikelar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, CAN FC's goalkeeper Camilo Mikelar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Ilixo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melquiades Pirro during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tu Vieja booed when CAN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Pirro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute Matias Sustrai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gavino Estevon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of CAN FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tu Vieja:s goal. Camilo Mikelar went to the wrong direction when Francisco Quinito was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Tiburcio Hulberto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Gavino Estevon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ezequiel Dominix struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Camilo Mikelar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tu Vieja. CAN FC's Camilo Mikelar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Dominix in the 86th minute of play. Wilfredo Ilixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Mikelar having to interfere. When Matias Sustrai came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the CAN FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Sustrai couldn't finish the play. After 97 played minutes CAN FC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Erruki.
