Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bernardino Liher took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Guido Hermelando was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Miramar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Funebrero FC the free kick. Miramar's Arnulfo Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Liher in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Etxekopar in the 8th minute of play forced Miramar's goalkeeper Arnulfo Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Liher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Xabel having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Funebrero FC's Bernardino Liher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnulfo Xabel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ignacio Xabel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Basajaun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Funebrero FC's Reynaldo Basajaun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Chayo in the 21st minute of play. When Funebrero FC's Bernardino Liher in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Miramar's goalie prevented a goal. Bernardino Liher struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Arnulfo Xabel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Funebrero FC. If Paulino Etxekopar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardino Liher took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnulfo Xabel. Arnulfo Xabel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, Miramar's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Liher came free, but Arnulfo Xabel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulino Etxekopar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Arnulfo Xabel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Chayo was the one to do the kick off. Funebrero FC's Godofredo Cresenciano got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Miramar's Arnulfo Xabel got control of the ball when Bernardino Liher tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bernardino Liher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Miramar's Ignacio Xabel got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute, Bernardino Liher made a precise shot to the right of Arnulfo Xabel. Miramar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Funebrero FC's Paulino Etxekopar got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulino Etxekopar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnulfo Xabel. That made the score 0-5 in the 82 minute of play. Funebrero FC's Bernardino Liher got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardino Liher's late challenge caught a Miramar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardino Liher helped the player get up and apologised. Bernardino Liher hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Miramar's zone, Bernardino Liher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnulfo Xabel came out of the goal and Bernardino Liher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Funebrero FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
