The audience was convinced that Israel Henrico's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Eliazar was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Estefan in the 36th minute of play forced Fitarruín's goalkeeper Romulo Malvin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes Fitarruín got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Librado. In the 43rd minute, Sebastian Cordarrel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fitarruín's Romulo Malvin didn't even have to move. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Godofredo Estefan to strike the kick off in the second half. Generoso Millan's late challenge caught a Covunco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Generoso Millan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st minute, Generoso Millan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Godofredo Estefan in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romulo Malvin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diego Firmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dario Eliazar didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Fitarruín's Generoso Millan got his second yellow card of the match in the 68th minute. The referee ordered Generoso Millan off the ground. A collision led to Fitarruín getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Generoso Millan hit a great ball. Covunco's Godofredo Estefan got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fitarruín's Romulo Malvin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Estefan in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Diego Firmin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covunco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Firmin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Godofredo Estefan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romulo Malvin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Estefan in the 87th minute of the match. Dario Eliazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Israel Henrico in the 97th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fitarruín walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
