The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Club Atletico Surf booed when Florida FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Xacintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteve Frederico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Felipo having to interfere. Prospero Fonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Edgard Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgard Martxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Ostots, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Atletico Surf's Robustiano Ignatius got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Prospero Fonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Edgard Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antonio Felipo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robustiano Ignatius went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Robustiano Ignatius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Antonio Felipo made a huge save. Esteve Frederico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Antonio Felipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorio Foro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Surf's Javier Dolfos got a free kick in the 35th minute. Prospero Fonso took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgard Martxel. Edgard Martxel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Modesto Ostots hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. If Robustiano Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Robustiano Ignatius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Surf's supporters rose to their feet, but Robustiano Ignatius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Felipo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Gregorio Foro made the kick off in the second half. When Modesto Ostots fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida FC's protests and gave Modesto Ostots a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Florida FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Modesto Ostots hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gregorio Foro in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Martxel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute Gregorio Foro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Fonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Edgard Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregorio Foro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edgard Martxel came out and tried to block the shot, but Gregorio Foro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 61st minute. 66 minutes into the game, Modesto Ostots recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edgard Martxel. Modesto Ostots showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. In the 70th minute, Sergio Joanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Club Atletico Surf's Candido Bermund tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Prospero Fonso came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Florida FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Fonso couldn't finish the play. Edgard Martxel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Foro in the 80th minute of play. Modesto Ostots struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Edgard Martxel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florida FC. Robustiano Ignatius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Felipo having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Robustiano Ignatius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonio Felipo. Florida FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robustiano Ignatius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. If Robustiano Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Surf's Edgard Martxel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Club Atletico Surf from getting a goal against them. It was beautiful to see Club Atletico Surf's Candido Bermund in action when he in the 95th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When the final whistle sounded Florida FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atletico Surf.
