After a rather tough play, Rawson's Albino Maxin got a free kick in the 7th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Teodosio Tanio could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Atilano Acevedo however easily saved by the left post. Teodosio Tanio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Atilano Acevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Sixto Felo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Atilano Acevedo, passed just outside the right post. Atilano Acevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Felo in the 16th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Eusebio Rosalio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rawson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico River Plate the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Rawson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusebio Rosalio to maneuver through the defense. Rawson's Atilano Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Felo in the 18th minute of play. Segundo Igon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Club Atletico River Plate's Teodosio Tanio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atilano Acevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 29 in the game by Teodosio Tanio from a close distance when the talented Atilano Acevedo managed to make a qualified save. Rawson's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Teodosio Tanio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodosio Tanio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Atilano Acevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atilano Acevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Artaldo in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Teodosio Tanio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sixto Felo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico River Plate's zone, Segundo Igon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pablo Gaztea came out of the goal and Segundo Igon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Club Atletico River Plate getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. German Baraquiel hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Rawson:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Atletico River Plate:s goal. Edgardo Egoi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Atilano Acevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Tanio in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rawson's zone, Teodosio Tanio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Acevedo came out of the goal and Teodosio Tanio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixto Felo in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atilano Acevedo saved Rawson from getting behind. In the 83rd match minute, Rawson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Endura to maneuver through the defense. Club Atletico River Plate's Denis Artaldo pulled a muscle in his leg after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Cristo Endura's late challenge caught a Club Atletico River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristo Endura helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, Rawson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Endura to maneuver through the defense. Atilano Acevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Tanio, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Jacinto Nofre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Teodosio Tanio came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Club Atletico River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teodosio Tanio couldn't finish the play. Atilano Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixto Felo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Cordaro hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Atilano Acevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
